Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary: The Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor at ONE | GT, Grand Cayman will play a supporting role to the engineering manager to ensure the smooth and safe operation of all hotel facilities and equipment. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate efficiently. The Engineering Supervisor will monitor daily activities, prioritize repair requests, and ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies. This role also supports energy efficiency initiatives, collaborates with other departments to minimize operational disruptions, and contributes to the hotel’s reputation for excellence in guest comfort, safety, and facility reliability. Core Responsibilities: • Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems are fully functional and maintained to brand standards. • Assign and monitor work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities. • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Assist with emergency repairs and respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues. Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff, providing technical guidance and support. • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (2023 Revision), and Cayman Islands Fire & Building Codes. • Implement and monitor workplace safety programs, including lockout/tagout, hazard reporting, and PPE requirements. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, and safety certifications. • Ensure proper inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment. • Monitor equipment lifespan and recommend replacements or upgrades. • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or capital projects. • Work closely with the Housekeeping, Front Office, and F&B teams to resolve maintenance requests efficiently. • Prepare maintenance reports and submit updates to the Engineering Manager.
