Maintenance Person

Position Summary: The Staff Engineer at ONE | GT, Grand Cayman will assist in the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This role supports the Engineering team in preventive and corrective maintenance, monitors equipment performance, and helps uphold the hotel’s standards for safety, functionality, and guest comfort. Core Responsibilities: • Respond to all service calls within allotted times according to hotel policies. • Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective action as needed • Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work. • Comply with the latest local governmental codes, laws and requirements. • Coordinate with other department personnel as needed • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on an on-going basis. • Efficiently maintain pools, filters and pumps on a daily basis. • Efficiently adjust televisions and program boxes. • Carefully and efficiently paint, stain or repair interior and exterior finishes. • Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed. • Record daily, weekly, and monthly temperature and pressure readings. • Efficiently and accurately install and repair carpets, ensuring all safety hazards are attended to. • Be familiar with and maintain all fire safety equipment operations and implement emergency procedures when required. • Respond to any HVAC calls or room calls as a priority. • Produce accurate logs, charts and preventive maintenance forms. • Perform other duties as assigned
