F&B Server assistant (Busser)

Position Summary: The Food & Beverage Server assistant ( busser) assists with all aspects of service for the dining
experiences. Through professional, courteous, and efficient service. This role involves supporting the F&B server by taking
and serving food and beverage orders, ensuring prompt upselling opportunities, and maintaining cleanliness and
organization in the dining area. The Server assistant (busser) plays a key role in representing the hotel’s service values and
ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the spirit of “Caymankind.
Core Responsibilities:
• Greet customers promptly as they take a seat in the restaurant.
• Following servers direction, complete water and bread service and detail table for any extra settings
• Adhere to the restaurant’s steps of service and sequence of service to a “T”, ensuring every guest interaction
is consistent.
• Read guests, and adjust your interaction to accommodate the occasion and the guest's needs.
• Upsell Food and Beverage throughout the experience, driving restaurant top-line sales and average spend.
• Ensure Food and Beverage product knowledge is maintained and expanded on to be up to date
with trends.
• Ensure guest safety by confirming and communicating any guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Assist team members, including hosts, servers, runners, and bartenders, to ensure all aspects of the
restaurant run smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and the kitchen at all times
• Inspect food for accuracy and presentation prior to delivery.
• Clear and re-set tables as directed
• Complete any in service restaurant cleaning of chairs, floor, tables
• Maintain a clean table and assist with any refills or requests as needed.
• Complete all side station work and maintain a clean safe environment.
